AMANDA AND MATT / MALIBU BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

AMANDA AND MATT / MALIBU BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Amanda and Matt wanted a beach feel for their engagement session. We talked about El Matador beach in Malibu California. As soon as we got there, we knew we had chosen the right location for their photo shoot. El Matador beach is a super rad spot with great lighting! Can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Hummingbird Ranch!

BRIANA AND SEAN / DARLINGTON HOUSE, LA JOLLA, CALIFORNIA

BRIANA AND SEAN / DARLINGTON HOUSE, LA JOLLA, CALIFORNIA

I met Briana and Sean from a past rad couple, Ashley and Thomas, which you can view here. Briana and I hoped on the phone and I quickly realized they were a sweet, genuine, and relaxed couple that just wanted to have fun and celebrate with their friends and family. They were so accommodating to my wife and I, flexible with the day, and danced non stop. I hope these photos really show how their wedding day was at The Darlington House.

Briana and Sean, thanks for everything. One of the best weddings I’ve got to be a part of.

JANNIE AND RICKY / MADERA KITCHEN

JANNIE AND RICKY / MADERA KITCHEN

When I chatted with Jannie about her wedding day, we instantly hit it off. She told me about how they wanted their wedding at the Madera Kitchen in Los Angeles to be small, filled with friends and family, and down to earth. Their wedding day made me think about how the little things are still super important and how much I think we forget to value friendships. All they did was laugh and cry. Perfect wedding day!

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA ELOPEMENT

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA ELOPEMENT

I got a call from David on a Tuesday asking if I wanted to be a part of their elopement that was going to be happening in Pasadena that Thursday. When I got to the elopement spot, I asked both of them how long they’ve been together. They said 17 years and I asked, why now? They just looked at each other, smiled, and said “This is something we’ve been wanting to do for forever and we finally decided on today.”

They eloped on a trail in Pasadena and then headed to Disneyland for a small dinner.

LAURICE AND NICK / THE SMOG SHOPPE, Los Angeles, California

LAURICE AND NICK / THE SMOG SHOPPE, Los Angeles, California

I’ve got to hang with Laurice and Nick a couple times now and they’re probably some of the most relaxed and easy going people I’ve met. We joke about The Office, talk about Mexican food, have a love for Palm Springs. I was pumped to photograph their wedding day at The Smog Shoppe because I think it accurately describes who they are. You could tell their friends and family were ready to celebrate their day when they got there. I consider them my friends and not a “wedding couple.” Enjoy their wedding day!
